Corporate Social Responsibility
In 2019, we were delighted to announce the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity (CCUC) as our charity partner, who we will support through a company volunteer programme until the end of 2021. As an organisation, we are focused on creating better futures for our clients. The CCUC is invested heavily in securing the best possible future for children in Northern Ireland who are affected by cancer, as well as their families, and this shared passion makes our partnership a perfect fit.
About the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity
Founded in 1984, The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity was established to raise the necessary funds to build a dedicated Children’s Cancer & Haematology Unit at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. They now continue to support the vital work of the Children’s Cancer Unit, as well as the children who are treated there and their families. The Children’s Cancer Unit Charity is a registered charity formed and run by local people. It depends on donations to support the work of medical and nursing professionals at the Children’s Cancer and Haematology Unit in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

In the month of July 2020, the Davy UK staff set themselves a target to run, walk or skip 7 million steps to raise much needed funds for our charity partner, the CCUC. This has been a difficult time for the charitable sector and the CCUC continue to support families in Northern Ireland affected by childhood cancer, and we continue to support them. 36 staff members came together and walked over 12 million steps which is around 6,155 miles! The team also raised over £10,000 for the CCUC.
The CCUC depend on donations to provide the very best care for their young patients and their families. If you wish to support the Step Challenge and invest in the Children’s Cancer Unit there is still time and your donation would be greatly welcomed!
